Alphabet Soup Girl Quilt

I finally got around to finishing this quilt. It really didn't take long to make, but July was a really bad month for me. My hubby left the country for 12 days, my son cut his finger at scout camp and required surgery, and my 3 boys all started school. This is a really fun quilt pattern. It gives it a patch look, without a lot of work. And all this from a 10" stacker.

After a good pressing, it will be off to the quilter. Now I have to decide on a design and thread color. I will post another picture when it is all done.

I can't believe I have waited this long to make a decorative pillow. It was so fun. My 4 year old daughter helped me fill the pillow. I think we will be making more in the near future--so says my daughter :) And the pillowcases were done in 20 minutes--both of them. Fabric Lanyard

So last week, a dear friend of mine had a birthday. I was having a hard time coming up with something to give her. And then I was looking through my patterns and came across this one: My friend is on the PTA and volunteers at our school a lot. So I decided to make her one. Here it is: She loved it! It was very easy and it only took 30 minutes to make. Now that I have made one, I notice lots of people wear them for their jobs. My kids have asked me to make them for their teachers.
