Are your kids back in school yet? In honor of Summer ending, I am having a Summer Ends Sale. Use coupon code SUMMERENDS at checkout and receive 5% off everything in my shop. And yes, that includes quilts and tablerunners :)
What can you do with a 10 inch Stacker or Layer Cake? Well, the ideas are unlimited. Here are a couple of quilts I have made with Riley Blake 10 inch Stackers: This Alphabet Soup Girl quilt is a Double Slice Layer Cake. It was so quick--I think I made it in 2 hours. This Dainty Blossoms quilt is my own pattern. I have made some baby quilts using charm packs, so I decided to use the same method, but with 10 inch squares. I absolutely LOVE the chocolate brown quilting design. And my daughter loves her quilt. And this pattern in my shop is made for 10 inch squares too:
So last week, a dear friend of mine had a birthday. I was having a hard time coming up with something to give her. And then I was looking through my patterns and came across this one: My friend is on the PTA and volunteers at our school a lot. So I decided to make her one. Here it is: She loved it! It was very easy and it only took 30 minutes to make. Now that I have made one, I notice lots of people wear them for their jobs. My kids have asked me to make them for their teachers. You can make one too. Check out my Etsy shop for the pattern :)
This is my first attempt to make a fabric storage bin. I absolutely love it! I bought the pattern from Baffin Bags on Etsy. I made the handles too big, but my daughter loves it that way. Wouldn't this make a great baby shower gift--a storage bin filled with diapers, lotions, burp cloths, etc? I wish I had a family member having a baby soon. This project only took 1 1/2 hours and I am sure I could make them faster now that I know how to put them together. I can't wait to make more!
